Louisville Gas and Electric Fined

The Courier Journal is reporting that after numerous odor complaints received this summer, Louisville Gas & Electric has been fined $65,000.  This is not the first time the plant has been fined as a result of odor complaints for smells likened to rotten eggs.

Air Quality Permit renewed for Daimler Trucks plants in North Portland Oregon, Despite Odor Concerns

Oregon Live (http://www.oregonlive.com/environment/index.ssf/2013/07/despite_odor_concerns_oregon_r.html) is reporting that residents living near the Daimler Trucks North America plants in North Portland have been complaining about off-site odors that comes from truck painting operations.  Despite complaints from residents and Neighbors for Clean Air (http://www.whatsinourair.org/about/), the Oregan DEQ renewed Daimler’s air quality permits.
